Pictures are worth a thousand words

Hello all, maybe you remember me, I once posted a blog on here a long, long time ago. Once again, I appologize for the huge lack of posts. What can I say, maybe blogging isn't for everyone, certainly not me. That being said, I have had some amazing adventures that I would like to tell you about, and what better way than pictures. So hopefully these photos quell your rage of no previous posts, best wishes! 

So I would like to start off with a Japanese Autumn. Alot of people do not know what the seasons in Japan are like, and what better way to tell you with a photo with ever single color. This photo was taken just a few miles from Mt. Fuji, and the colors were amazing. The street like structure in the middle is actually a drain for when the monsoons hit, allowing the massive ammounts of water to flow in to the lake below.

 

Here is a photo of some of the leaves that I collected while hiking around, and shows you the amazing color variation of the trees. From deep red to the darkest green, the explosion of fall that I witnessed in Japan were the most amazing I have ever seen.

What would a year in Japan be if I did not visit Tokyo a few times? Although the airplane I arrived on did fly over it and landed in an adjacent airport, I never really had been to Tokyo. Untill now. On a whim, my host parents decided to take me one day, a 4 hour drive from our small city up north. Below is a picture of a structure famous throughout the nation, no no, the world, the tallest tower in the world (the Burj Khalifa is a building, not a tower). The Tokyo Skytree measures over 625m tall, 2080 feet, with an elevator taking you to the top in less than a minute. The nightfall does not dimminish the Skytrees splendor one bit, with ever changing lights making it stand out among the city like a gigantic.. Uh.. Huge tower. Hopefully the photo is more elegant than my word choices.

Perhaps even just as spectacular as the Skytrees grandeour is the view. Over 1500 feet above Tokyos skyline, I probably looked like a typical tourist, snapping photos left and right. The Skytree had a 360 degree of the entire city, with the skyline stretching off in every direction. Tokyo is a huge city. 

I went skiing in Japan! Something I was going to make sure to do when I came here. It was amazing, yet very cold as well. Very happy I had the chance.
